The Agave attenuata ‘Boutin Blue’ plant grows to be 5 ft. tall and 5 ft. across with fleshy leaves about 2 1/2 ft. long soft-green or gray-green fleshy and somewhat translucent without spines. An older Agave attenuata ‘Boutin Blue’ plant develops a stout trunk that grows to 5 ft tall. Greenish-yellow flowers are dense on arching spikes growing to 12-14 ft. long. The Agave attenuata ‘Boutin Blue’ will grow in poor soil but does best in rich soil with regular watering. The Agave attenuata ‘Boutin Blue’ sometimes produces foot long stalks!
