Moderate-growing evergreen shrub to 3-4’ tall and wide. This floriferous, hardy Kurume hybrid forms a rounded mound of medium-green foliage, and is prized for its impressive display of abundant, single pinkish-purple flowers with deep-colored throat markings. These eye-catching flowers nearly cloak the entire plant in spring, truly one of the most impressive varieties for creating a spectacular display of vibrant color. Adding further appeal to this attractive variety is the lovely plum-colored foliage blush that occurs in the cool of fall and winter. Well-suited as a foundation planting, accent or shrub border, mass planting or outstanding container specimen. Prefers a rich, acidic, well-drained soil and a partial sun to partial shade exposure.

USDA Zone: 5-9
