Crassula ‘Campfire’ is a branching succulent with fleshy leaves that mature from light green to bright red. It grows low forming mats of succulent foliage about 6 inches tall to 2 to 3 feet tall wide. Crassula ‘Campfire’ produces clusters of white flowers on the leaves in summer. ‘Campfire’ does best in part sun but requires shade in hotter inland climates. It considered drought tolerant coastal areas but requires regular irrigation inland. It will be damaged in temperatures below 30 degrees F°. It makes a nice groundcover in coastal areas of California. The color is brightest in winter responding to shorter cool nights with bright sunlight during the day.
