Helianthemum ‘Wisley Pink’ is sometimes known as Wisley Pink Sunrose. It grows as a compact evergreen woody perennial. It is related to the larger Rockrose or cistus but it grows to only 6 to 8 inches tall by up to 2 to 4 feet wide. Flowering commences in spring and lasts to early summer. The flowers open for a day and are closed by evening. They bloom so prolifically that the entire plant is often masked behind them. ‘Wisley Pink’ is noted for gray foliage and clear pink flowers with small yellow stamens at the center. They should be planted with good soil drainage in full sun to part shade. Summer requires with regular irrigation. ‘Wisley Pink’ is a great plant for edging a garden or even used as a small scale groundcover.
