Juniper Old Gold has golden foliage. The color is most intense during warmer months but ‘Old Gold’ looks good through cooler temperatures as well. It must be planted in full sun to maintain its color. Many times this juniper variety is referred to as Gold Coast, but is more commonly known as Old Gold. Growth habit is very similar to that of most juniper of this type but much more compact. It’s used in foreground plantings as colorful accents and as a low to medium height hedge when spaced about 2 feet apart. This juniper responds very well to trimming and can be kept at a variety of heights & shapes if desired.
