Moderately fast-growing evergreen shrub with a mounding growth habit to 3-4′ tall and wide. This sturdy humidity-loving Texas native forms a dense rounded-mound of attractive silvery-grey foliage accented with masses of showy pink flowers that appear summer through fall attracting butterflies bees and hummingbirds. Tolerates a wide variety of soil types (provided they are well-drained) has few pest or disease issues is deer resistant and well-suited as an accent or informal hedge. Prefers a full to partial sun exposure but can tolerate some filtered shade.
