Moderate-growing, clumping ornamental grass to 4-6’ tall x 3-5’ wide. Winter deciduous in all but the mildest of climates, this popular variety features attractive, arching variegated foliage displaying slender green leaves accented with creamy-white stripes. This attractive foliage eventually transitions to a warm almond-color in the cool of fall. Adding further appeal to this variety are the feathery, red-tinged, silvery-white flower plumes that majestically rise above the attractive foliage late-summer to fall. Well- suited as an accent or texture contrast to broadleaf shrubs and perennials, and makes a great large scale border, background or mass-planting. Also performs well in large containers or planters. Cut back to near ground-level in fall or winter to promote a strong spring emergence of new foliage. Prefers a relatively well-drained soil, and though capable of surviving with little water, a more robust-looking specimen is achieved with moderate watering. Thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.
