Ophiopogon j. ‘Variegata’ is often called White Mondo Grass.  It is an evergreen grass-like lily that forms tufts growing to 18 inches tall accompanied by narrow arching leaves striped pale green and white.   The attractive white flowers growing in the arching spikes appear in middle to late summer and are followed by oblong-shaped deep blue berries. Ophiopogon j. ‘Variegata’ grows well in light shade or partial sun.  It has been to grow well in full coastal sun environments.  Ophiopogon j. ‘Variegata’ should be Irrigated occasionally to regularly.  It will be more robust and flower better with regular water.
