Categories: ,

Fast-growing, tender herbaceous perennial to 24” tall x 24-30” wide. This attractive, easy-to-grow variety forms a dense, rounded mound of glossy deep-green leaves with vivid purple undersides, and is accented with abundant spikes of showy, dainty-looking lavender-colored flowers that rise above the attractive foliage fall to mid-spring. Well-suited in beds and borders, as an accent, or as an attractive container, basket or houseplant specimen. Removing old flower spikes as they expire will help promote re-blooming, and an occasional light pinching will help maintain a more compact-growing specimen. Tolerates full sun in coastal climates, partial sun to light shade elsewhere, and prefers an evenly-moist, well-drained soil. Deer resistant.

USDA Zone: 9B-11
