Moderate-growing evergreen shrub with a rounded growth-habit to 2-3’ tall x 3-4’ wide. Indian Hawthorn has long been a popular landscape favorite revered for its durability and dependable flower display. This attractive variety features bronzy-red-tinged new foliage maturing to a rich emerald-green and is accented with abundant clusters of lightly-fragrant rosy-pink flowers appearing spring into summer attracting bees. Following flowering appear small berry-like dark-blue fruit though they are mostly inconspicuous. Well-suited in mixed borders as an accent mass planting low-growing hedge or foundation planting and does well in containers. This species is drought tolerant but looks best with a light regular watering schedule. Prefers a well-drained soil in a full to partial sun exposure. Best flowering and growth-habit will occur in a full sun exposure.
