Fast-growing subshrub to 3-4′ tall x 4-5′ wide. This robust heat-loving variety forms a dense rounded-mound of medium-green foliage accented with showy trumpet-shaped purplish-blue flowers appearing throughout the warmer months attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Well-suited as an accent background in mixed borders or as a mass planted groundcover. Grows in a variety of soil types provided they’re fast-draining. Requires little water once established. Prefers a full sun to light shade exposure. Too much shade will promote a leggy-growing specimen.
