Moderate-growing herbaceous perennial to 18” tall x 18-24” wide. This popular, tough, easy-to-grow variety features lightly-aromatic gray-green foliage, and is prized for its abundant and impressive display of vibrant violet-purple flower spikes that rise above the attractive foliage throughout summer, attracting butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Good cut flower. Well-suited in beds, borders, cottage garden settings, or as a colorful summer-blooming container specimen. Tolerates inland heat or coastal climates, and while this variety is capable of surviving on little water once established, a more robust specimen is achieved with regular watering in a well-drained soil. Thrives in a full to partial sun exposure. Deer resistant.
