Moderate to fast-growing deciduous tree to 30-45’ tall x 15-25’ wide. This vigorous and stately variety eventually develops a dense, pyramidal to rounded canopy of attractive dark-green leaves with bluish-green undersides. Small but abundant clusters of pale-yellow flowers appear in mid-summer, and are highly-appealing to bees. Flowers are followed by small, tan-colored fruit that persist through summer. Adding further appeal to this handsome variety is its fall foliage display in attractive shades of yellow and chartreuse. Admired for its ability to tolerate acidic soil and air-pollution, this species makes a great street, lawn, or patio shade tree and takes well to shearing making it a good candidate to plant in rows as a large screen. Prefers moderate to light watering, and thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.
