Fast-growing vigorous evergreen perennial to 1-2′ tall and wide. Narrow strap-like bluish-green foliage with white margins give this plant a lovely silvery appearance and its pungent leaves have a distinctive garlic fragrance when brushed or bruised. Dainty lavender-colored flowers on 2′ stems rise above the foliage nearly year-round with the strongest blooming occurring in spring and summer. Leaves of this plant can be used in cooking. Great as a low border or herb garden accent for spotting in rock gardens or pond areas or for planting in mass. Tolerates heat and a fairly wide range of soil conditions and prefers a regular watering schedule. Remove old flowers to prolong blooming periods. Sun to partial shade.
