Moderately fast-growing deciduous tree to 40-60′ tall and wide and has been known to get even larger with age and ideal conditions. Juvenile trees have a somewhat upright vase-shaped growth habit eventually forming a canopy with age. Greatly admired for it’s resistance to Dutch Elm disease this attractive variety features light-green serrated leaves that turn a lovely muted red color in the fall with it’s peeling multi-toned bark adding even greater appeal. Grows in a wide variety of soil conditions and thought it can handle periods of drought a faster-growing more lush looking tree will be achieved with a more regular watering schedule. Great as a medium to large sized lawn or street tree. Full sun.
