Moderate-growing evergreen succulent to 6-8” tall, spreading via sprawling stems that root as they touch the ground. Fleshy, tightly-clustered, jelly-bean-like green leaves exhibit an attractive red-tinge at the tips of their foliage, a color that intensifies in cooler weather or when planted in sunny areas. Shadier exposures will produce less foliage pigmentation. Adding further appeal are the clusters of small yellow flowers that appear directly atop the stem tips in winter, and stand out nicely against the red-tinged foliage. Great as a groundcover, rock garden planting, or for using as a low-growing filler in mixed succulent planters. Tolerates a variety of different soil types (provided they’re well-drained), requires little water once fully established, and thrives in a sun to partial shade exposure.
