Hydrangea ‘Blaumeise’ or ‘Teller’s Blue’ Hydrangea is a fast-growing deciduous shrub with an upright growth habit to 3-5′ tall x 3-5′ wide. This cold hardy selection features lush dark-green foliage and large showy deep-violet-blue lace-cap flower clusters that are produced throughout summer. Flower color can be altered by changing the soils pH level. A more acidic soil will produce shades of blue while a more alkaline soil will produce shades of pink. Great as a colorful background as a container specimen  or planted in mass. Also makes a great dried flower. Prune to shape after flowering. Prefers regular watering and a filtered sun to partial shade exposure. Provide protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer inland areas.
