Plant Type

Shrub

Moderate-growing evergreen shrub with a spreading growth habit to 2-3’ tall x 6-8’ wide. Rosemary has long been revered for its aromatic and useful foliage, as well as its profuse flowering display. This attractive variety features medium to dark-green foliage, accented with a profusion of bright lavender-blue flowers that appear late-winter to early-spring, with sporadic bloom throughout the year in mild climates. The flowers attract butterflies and bees, and the pungent foliage of this species is often used as a culinary seasoning. Thrives in variety of different climates, from direct coastal conditions to warm interior valleys, and is well-suited as an accent or large-area groundcover. Prefers a full to partial sun exposure, requires little water once established, and performs best in a fast-draining soil.
