Ebony is an evergreen shrub growing to 3-4 ft tall by 3-5 ft wide. Unique, black-purple foliage develops burgundy-colored flower bracts in the late winter to summer. It works great as a color contrast, does well in containers, and cut foliage is excellent for flower arrangements. Requires a well-drained soil, has low water needs once established, and prefers full sun.
