Brie Arthur is a nationally recognized horticulturist, author, and speaker, celebrated for her innovative approach to suburban gardening. With a passion for promoting sustainable practices, Brie has made significant contributions to the fields of horticulture and agriculture, particularly through her advocacy of foodscaping—a concept that integrates edible plants into traditional ornamental landscapes. Based in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, she has worked extensively to educate the public on the benefits of organic gardening, soil health, and biodiversity. Brie is the author of several books, including “The Foodscape Revolution” and “Gardening with Grains,” where she shares her expertise in creating productive, beautiful gardens. Through her YouTube channel, ‘Brietheplantlady,’ and her numerous speaking engagements, Brie inspires gardeners of all skill levels to embrace ecological gardening practices that contribute to healthier communities and a more sustainable future.
Dr. Nöel Kingsbury is an internationally known writer regarded as one of the prime architects of the ecological or naturalistic approach in modern planting design. Equally brilliant and prolific, he’s written some 25 books on various aspects of plants and gardens over the years, four of them in collaboration with legendary Dutch designer and plantsman Piet Oudolf. He has also written for Gardens Illustrated, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Garden, Hortus, The New York Times and many other publications.
