Agava salmiana var. ferox ‘Butterfingers’ is a large stem less succulent with open rosette leaves. The rigid fleshy glossy dark-green leaves grow up to 3 ft long and 15 inches wide. Butterfingers has yellowish colored leaf margins with hooked black-brown spines along the edges. Butterfingers starts with curly spines at the tips which straighten out as they grow.
