A rosette-forming succulent from South Africa with rosettes of gray leaves that build up on each other to about 1 foot tall. Each rosette bearing small white spined leaves gets about 6 inches tall by 1 foot wide. In the late spring appear spikes of orange-red flowers. Best in full sun and very well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Hardy to about 25-30 degrees F. A great small scale groundcover Aloe.
