Antigonon Leptopus sometimes called Coral Vine or Queen’s Wreath) is a tender perennial vine that can easily grow to 30-40 ft long. It uses its tendrils to rapidly climb up over and upon any nearby object. It is evergreen in frost free areas. Antigonon Leptopus has attractive green heart-shaped leaves that are 4 in. long. In the summer this vine produces large branching flower stalks on which small flowers are situated in dense clusters. The flowers are tiny but provide the brilliant colors that range from white to rose-pink to deep coral colors. Antigonon Leptopus is native to Mexico and is grown as a landscape plant in regions of the United States where there are mild winters. It is considered an invasive plant by some.
