Evergreen shrub that is low and spreading making a carpet it can spread as far as 15′ . It has glossy reddish black bark and glossy green leaves turning red or purple in the fall . in spring it has small white to pink flowers in an upside down urn shape followed by red fruit. Prefers full sun to light shade and moderate to little water when established.
