Bougainvillea ‘Barbara Karst’ has magenta red bracts which bloom for a long season (Summer-Fall). Tolerates frost (to about 20 degrees F.) and heat. Plant in full sun to bring out the bright red color of the bracts if planted in shade the color will dull to a reddish-blue. A very vigorous grower. Low water needs once established. Great for patio fence or arbors.
