‘Green Beauty’ has a compact habit with dark glossy leaves. Reportedly not as hardy as ‘Winter Gem’ which is hardy to -10 degrees (USDA Hardiness Zone 5b). Green Beauty is a popular evergreen shrub with rounded leaves and dense growth. Makes an excellent sheared hedge. If left unpruned it makes a classical accent at entryways and corners. Does well in a “container” garden. It’s tolerance of drought heat and alkaline soil.
