This reed grass provides wonderful contrast among low shrubs and perennials. It is often used in naturalized areas and its mature size is directly related to how much moisture it encounters. Even though calamagrostis can grow in fresh-water bogs it also does well in drier areas. Upright narrow green leaves with 6′ seed heads.
