Deodar cedar is native to India. It is a large stately conifer with horizontal spreading branches and a conical shape. It can grow to 150 ft tall with a 40 ft canopy spread near ground level. Deodar cedar usually stays 50 ft or less. The lower branches bend gracefully downward and then up again. The stiff needle-like leaves are about 2 in long and born in dense clusters.
