Cistus salviifolius (Sageleaf Rockrose) grows well in situations where a low groundcover in harsh conditions is desired. The Sageleaf Rockrose will withstand drought and heavy clay soils. It produces heavy spring bloom of white flowers. The abundant flowers contrast well with the dark green leaves. It will grow 2-3 feet tall by 6-8 feet wide. The plants are hardy down to about 20 deg. F.
