Coprosma ‘Evening Glow’ (Evening Glow Mirror Bush) is a very colorful evergreen upright growing shrub that can grow 4 to 5 feet tall. The variegated foliage is striking in appearance with small ovate leaves that are green with irregular yellow blotches. These turn bright orange-red in late summer and fall and remain this way until new growth commences in the spring. The flowers are as with most all coprosma inconspicuous. Coprosma are planted in full coastal sun but usually like some light shade further inland. Coprosma also prefer moderately well drained soil and occasional to regular irrigation in hotter climates. Coprosma ‘Evening Glow’ will have a pyramidal form but can tolerate fall or spring pruning to give it a desired shape.
