Category:

Moderately fast-growing evergreen shrub to 3-5’ tall x 4-6’ wide. Prized for its year-round, glossy variegated foliage, this attractive variety forms a dense rounded mound of bright-golden-yellow leaves with deep-green center markings. Well-suited in mixed shrub borders, as an accent or single impact specimen, or planted in multiples to form a dense, low-growing hedge. Looks especially great when contrasted with deeper-colored shrubs or perennials. Insignificant pale-green flowers appear in spring. This relatively disease and pest free variety prefers moderate watering in a slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Tolerates coastal conditions (including salt-spray) where it can be grown in a full sun exposure, preferring a partial sun to partial shade exposure elsewhere. Requires some protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer inland climates. Frost hardy to 18° F.
