Category:

Moderate-growing palm-like evergreen typically growing 6′ tall by 3′ wide with age, likely producing multiple heads as it matures.  This attractive variety features narrow, gracefully arching, sword-like, multi-toned leaves in shades of pink and cherry-red. With age, showy spikes of sweetly-scented white flowers rise above the attractive foliage late-spring to summer. Tolerates coastal conditions, though protection from direct sea wind is recommended as well as some shaded protection from summer sun in hotter inland areas. Great for adding a tropical appearance to the landscape and is ideally suited for pool or patio areas, in the ground or in containers. While somewhat drought tolerant once established, a more robust-looking specimen will be achieved with moderate watering in a well-drained soil. Thrives in a partial to full sun exposure.
