Corydline stricta ‘Soledad Purple’ is an upright compact plant growing 6 to 8 feet tall with deep glossy green leaves that are 18 inches long by 1 to 2 inches wide. The new growth is slightly pale and is flushed with purple. Small light violet flowers occur winter into and spring. Cordyline ‘Soledad’ is commonly planted in partial coastal sun or light shade and requires regular irrigation. Inland it requires more shade.
