Cupressocyparis leylandii often called Leyland Cypress is a beautiful hybrid tree. It is an upright evergreen conifer that can grows 60-70′ tall by 10-15′ wide. In most areas of the United States Leyland Cypress usually grows to about 50 ft. It is very symmetrical and usually takes on a pyramidal shape. The conifer needles are overlapping and scaly and grow into dense sprays covering upward-curving branches. It makes an outstanding screen windbreak or barrier.
