Fast-growing deciduous shrub to 5-6’ tall and wide. Semi-evergreen in mild climates. This durable variety forms a dense, rounded mound of gracefully-arching stems clad with tiny, bright-green leaves and is prized for its abundant, eye-catching sprays of lightly-fragrant, pea-like, creamy-yellow flowers that appear in spring. These showy flower sprays attract bees and make a good cut flower for mixed arrangements. Flowers are followed by olive-green seed pods that mature in fall. Well-suited in mixed borders, as an accent, hedge or low-growing screen, and is useful for helping to control soil erosion on slopes and hillsides. Tolerates a variety of soil types (provided they’re well-drained) and requires little water once fully established. Thrives in a full sun exposure.
