Category:

Fast-growing evergreen shrub to 15-25 ft. tall and 8-12 ft. wide with age. Can be pruned into a multi-stemmed tree. Long, arching branches of brightly-colored variegated foliage provide a wonderful contrast to the abundant clusters of cascading blue flowers that appear in summer, or nearly year-round in mild climates. A favorite for butterflies. Adding further appeal to this attractive variety are the showy, yellow-orange berries that appear after flowering, though it should be noted that these berries are toxic which should be considered when choosing a planting location. Great for providing a color contrast in the landscape, and is especially well-suited as a bright-colored background or screening. Prune back in late-winter to encourage a more compact shape and strong flush of fresh spring foliage.  Requires moderate watering in a well-drained soil, and thrives in a partial to full sun exposure.

USDA Zone: 8B-11
