Echinocactus grusonii is a popular cactus. It originates in Mexico. Echinocactus grusonii grows up to 2 ft tall and 2-3 ft wide with a single globe-shaped pale green body that when mature stretches upward taking on a rounded barrel shape. This body is heavily ribbed and sprouting radially with yellow spines. In summer the larger cacti produce a circle of vivid yellow flowers from a crown at the top of the plant.
