Echium fastuosum “Pride of Madeira” is a Canary Island native plant. It produces large blue-purple spikes that appear on the ends of upward curving branches mid-spring though summer. Overall the plant grows 4-6 ft. tall and wide. Echium fastuosum has been known to do well in generally poor or even dry soils but it does require good drainage and little water near the coastal areas. Requires extra irrigation is warmer areas.
