Eriogonum fasciculatum (California Buckwheat) is sometimes also called ‘Warriner Lytle’. It is a sprawling low-growing plant that can grow to 3-5 feet tall by 6-8 feet wide. It has attractive fine-textured dark green small needle-like leaves and an arching growth habit. Tight round clusters of creamy white to pink flowers will turn to a rust color in summer. Eriogonum fasciculatum should be planted in full sun and requires occasional to little irrigation. This is a great plant for dry slopes.
