Fast-growing evergreen to semi-evergreen perennial to 2-3 feet tall x 2-3 feet wide. This popular long-blooming variety forms a compact rounded-mound of attractive gray-green foliage accented with abundant clusters of fragrant mauve-colored flowers that rise above the foliage primarily spring through summer or nearly year-round in mild climates. A favorite for butterflies. Well-suited in cottage gardens rock gardens beds mixed borders raised planters or containers. A light pruning after summer flowering will help promote a more compact form and encourage fall re-blooming. Requires a well-drained soil and little water once established though a more vigorous looking plant is achieved with light regular watering. Thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.
