Geijera parviflora is known as the Australian Willow. It is an attractive evergreen that grows 25 to 30 feet tall and about 20 feet wide. It grows in an upright oval silhouette form. Main inner branches are of strong wind-resistant wood and tend to grow upward. Smaller outer branches are somewhat droopy giving a weeping habit to older trees. The younger trees are more oval-shaped. These characteristics give the tree a look similar to a Weeping Willow.
Geijera parviflora is a perfect choice for parking lot islands near decks or patios as a screen as a specimen tree or even as a residential street tree. It is planted in full sun and after established requires little irrigation. Geijera parviflora is also cold hardy to 15-20°F.
