Moderately slow-growing evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub to 1-1.5’ tall x 2’ wide. This nearly leafless species forms a dense spreading mound of arching stems clad with tiny medium-green leaves, and is prized for its spectacular display of sweet-pea-like, bright-yellow flowers that nearly cloak the entire plant in early-summer. Well-suited in mixed shrub borders, for slopes or hillsides, or as a mass planted groundcover in larger landscapes. Tolerates heat and poor soil, and requires little water once fully established, making it a fine selection for more arid applications. This grateful species requires very little maintenance and thrives in a full sun exposure.
