Gleditsia triacanthos ‘Sunburst’ is commonly called the Thornless Honeylocust. It grows to a height of 40′ with a canopy spread of 35′. It is planted in full sun. It produces a yellow brown fall color. It grows in an irregular somewhat rectangular form with thorns on its trunk and branches. It makes an excellent street and lawn tree that does well in extreme heat and cold. ‘Sunburst’ is known for its bright golden fine textured foliage.
