Moderate-growing evergreen perennial to 14-18” tall x 12-20” wide. Annual in cold climates. This long-time garden favorite features soft-textured bright-green foliage accented with abundant clusters of intoxicatingly fragrant deep-purple flowers that fade to a soft-lavender as they mature. These sweetly -fragrant flowers appear above the foliage mid-spring to fall and are magnet for butterflies. A cottage garden favorite this attractive variety is also well-suited in beds or borders as a colorful foreground to larger growing shrubs or in patio containers where their lovely fragrance can be fully enjoyed. Prefers a rich well-drained evenly-moist soil and a sun to partial shade exposure. Needs some protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer climates.
