Moderate-growing evergreen perennial with grass-like foliage to 3-4’ tall and wide. This tough, hardy, drought-tolerant species creates a fountain-like mound of narrow, gracefully-arching olive-green leaves, accented with tall spikes of showy deep-rose-pink flowers that rise above the foliage early to mid-summer, with intermittent blooming throughout the year in milder climates. A favorite for hummingbirds. Well-suited in rock gardens, succulent gardens, as an accent or container specimen. Requires well-drained soil and little water once established, and thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.
