Moderate-growing evergreen perennial to 12-16″ tall x 14-18” wide. This popular hybrid variety forms a uniform mound of velvety deep-plum colored leaves mottled with attractive metallic-purple markings. Arching sprays of dainty white flowers rise above the showy foliage in spring attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Great as a low-growing border as a filler between shrubs or in mixed flower beds or containers. The deep foliage color of this attractive variety make it a popular choice for contrasting with lighter colored shrubs and perennials. Prefers regular watering a well-drained soil and a filtered sun to partial shade exposure. Requires protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer inland climates.
