Plant Type

Shrub

Moderate to fast-growing tropical evergreen shrub with an upright growth-habit to 5-8′ tall x 3-5’ wide. Can be pruned to maintain a smaller size or trained as a small single-trunk patio tree. This attractive variety features lush, glossy dark-green foliage and is prized for its eye-catching display of single, rose-pink flowers with contrasting white throat and venation markings. These showy flowers stay open for several days and appear throughout summer attracting butterflies and bees. Well-suited as a large flowering accent, foundation or hedge planting, and does well in containers allowing it to be relocated and overwintered during the frost periods of colder climates. Prefers a well-drained soil with regular watering. Thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.
