Plant Type

Shrub

Moderate to fast-growing tropical evergreen shrub with an upright growth-habit to 6-10’ tall x 4-6′ wide. Can be pruned to maintain a smaller size or trained as a small single-trunk patio tree. This vigorous variety features lush glossy green foliage and is prized for its showy display of especially large single pink flowers with deep-pink throats. Blooming occurs throughout the warmer months attracting butterflies and bees. Well-suited as a large flowering accent foundation or hedge planting and does well in containers allowing it to be relocated and overwintered during the frost periods of colder climates. Prefers a well-drained soil with regular watering. Full to partial sun.
