Slow-growing palm-like evergreen typically growing to 3-6’ tall x 2-3’ wide or greater with age, possibly producing multiple heads as it matures. This attractive variety features narrow, upright-growing, sword-like, olive-green leaves accented with creamy-white margins and an attractive light-pink blush at the base of each leaf. With age, showy spikes of sweetly-scented white flowers rise above the attractive foliage late-spring to summer. Tolerates coastal conditions, though protection from direct sea wind is recommended as well as some shaded protection from summer sun in hotter inland areas. Great for adding a tropical appearance to the landscape and is ideally suited for pool or patio areas, in the ground or in containers. While somewhat drought tolerant once established, a more robust-looking specimen will be achieved with moderate watering in a well-drained soil. Thrives in a partial to full sun exposure.
