This holly produces more fruit than  Burfordii Nana and is typically larger with leaves that usually have only one spine at the tip. Ilex c. Burfordii and Burfordii Nana are perhaps the most popular of the ornamental berry plants. Berries last for several months and attract birds. It is best grown in full sun but will tolerate some shade. Hollies are versatile plants and range from 15-25 foot tall by 8-15 foot wide trees. Ilex c. Burfordii can be useful as a hedge a barrier or as a background plant in larger gardens.
